Living Room Re-do!

I finally got around to re-decorating the living room. After a new paint job and some furniture re-arranging, I think it's ready to go!

The paint color before was an artichoke green and was all wrong for this space. This time I chose a smoky blue color called "eclipse" and I'm really happy with the way it turned out! It was a stretch for me to go with such a dark color, but I think it gives the room a lot of character. Last weekend I made the shelves by cutting a 12 ft board into a 6 foot and two 3 foot cuts. I stained them with a dark cherry stain and fastened them with metal supports.

I painted all my frames white and sanded the edges for an antiqued look. I made the banner out of fabric and twine, I'm not 100% sure if it's a success, we'll have to wait until DH comes home and gives his approval. One things for sure, after seeing these pictures there are a few items that appear to be hung crooked... Oops! But all in all I do think it's looking a lot better. Stella seems to like it at least! Let me know what you think.
Here is a comparison of before and after...
